Student Gives Herself Multiple Abortions For Her Art Project!

Student Gives Herself Multiple Abortions For Her Art Project!

When I first read this story I honestly thought is was some kind of sick joke, like something out of The Onion.

I have often said nothing shocks me anymore, and I keep getting proven wrong.

Aliza Shvarts, an art major at Yale University is using abortion as part of her senior art project. She is not just using abortion, but her own purposefully induced abortions. Shvarts artificially inseminated herself as often as possible over a nine month period of time. During that time she would take abortifacient drugs to induce "miscarriages." Shvarts did all of this in the name of art, as she will display video recordings of her "miscarriages" along with blood samples in her project.

Students from both, pro-life and pro-choice groups on campus say their groups have taken no official position on the project. One student from the pro-life group did call it "surprising" and unethical.

How far is "too far"? I have to ask. I have to believe that even some of the most adamantly pro-choice people in this country would find this to be despicable. This world is going further and further down a road of total disregard for human life and it seems to have no end in sight. With stories like this one, and the fight in British Parliament to allow half animal - half human embryos to be made for stem cell research, will we finally say "stop"?

If this does anything, it gives us more resolve to continue the work we are doing at Stand True to bring an end to this culture of death. We know that we have a monstrous battle ahead of us, but we will not waiver or give up until every human person is protected and the sanctity of human life is restored.

All I have to say in regards to that girl is that she is sick. I hate to be mean, but I feel as if that is so nasty and detrimental to her body also. I wouldn't feel at all sorry is she can never get pregnant and have a healthy baby when she finally does try and have a child.

Nauseating. This poor woman will feel the effects of her actions. It may not be today or tomorrow but she will experience moral, physical and spiritual ramifications. She needs prayers!

This really makes me sad. As a young woman who cannot get pregnant, I feel this is just pouring salt in the wounds of us women who cannot get pregnant. I would never wish a child on someone who would hurt them, so I hope that this does make her sterile or use up all her good eggs. Jesus, please help these people in this world that would the most innocent beings in our society.

wow, that is just horribly disgusting, how can that even be considered art? not only that but why would she do that? there is no way that those pills have no side-effects for her. although the reprecussions on her soul are more than enough. it is a sad day in this country when we call such acts art...

I am increbibly and deeply saddened by what this young woman believes: that her body is so unimportant that she would repeatedly put it through such hormonal and physical distress and most importantly that she would care so little for what other young women go through when they do have an abortion. Regardless of ones ideology, abortion is a procedure of the dyer necessity of a young woman to terminate her pregnancy.

Obviously she didn't consider this but how disrespectful to the pain and suffering of those young women who hadn't found another way to deal with their situation! Not to mention women like my mother who had numerous natural miscarriages before she was able to successfully get pregnant...

I can't even believe it, when i read it I just got this huge sick feeling in my stomach. This world is getting sicker and sicker. When is God going to finally judge this world!

This is so sad. At first it's easy to be disgusted, I know I am, but this girl is obviously doing this because she has been deceived into thinking that life has no meaning outside of what she gives it. I feel sorry for her more than anything, but I am enraged at the university for letting this go on. This is like the artist in New York who displayed crucifixes dipped in urine and a portrait of the Madonna covered in dung.

I didn't know you had a blog here. Can I add you to my blogroll?

She's a serial killer--God knows how many babies she killed. On a week when we remember the Virgina Tech tragedy, there's another school tragedy--at Yale of all places--and it's ACCEPTED and WELL-ACCLAIMED.

I see Satan all over this. Lord, have mercy on us all.

Pray, pray, pray...

Bryan,
I am from Connecticut. I grew up 4 miles from Yale University. Walked around their campus as a teen and dreamt of attending. Now I am aware that I have far more to offer than anything I would experience at Yale.I have the Lord. I have intergrity and I have respect for life. My heart breaks into a million pieces for these children who were created only to be intentionally murdered. I have 2children (19 and 6 mths) and I am 6 weeks pregnant. I am also an artist. Life is precious. It is not an art medium. Her actions are murderous, sociopathic and utterly revolting. I will be praying for her. And after I die and meet the Lord I hope I am able to meet this little miracles who never had a chance and hold each one of them in my arms and love them like they never were.

I am not going to sugarcoat it - this made me angry! It just shows how low society has stooped that someone could even think about doing this! Not only did she cause the deaths of her children in such an absurd way, there is no doubt that the whole process was not good for her body. I guess I just wonder at how she even came up with the idea in the first place. I will be keeping her in my prayers, that is for sure!

All I need to say is how gross this is. This poor girl!! She is a sick individdual and needs to be prayed for. Even though our feelings are hurt but this we need t keep her in our prayers!

that is just discusting..thats the only word i can think to use. i am only 17 and have already been told i will not be able to concieve a healthy child and to see someone totally abusing this awsome ability to give life to a child is a disgrace.she should be totally embarassed with what she has done. One day when she tried to concieve her own child it wont happen and i honestly dont think she deserves that anyway.

honestly, this is disgusting. all the children, that could've grown up and made a difference in this world, were destroyed. i just don't understand pro-choice people. by making ONE choice [that is to take a life], they are stopping another individual [their aborted child] from making millions of choices. how is that not wrong??

Apparently she lied about the whole thing:

I don't know which is more perverted. If she had actually done it, or the fact that she made it all up. Either way it saddens me.

This is sick as it gets. Thank you for reporting it Bryan. And as an artist and also one who has had an abortion, and deeply repented it, I want to say that this is NOT art. Art reflects truth, and this is a horrible, vile distortion of truth.
