Tour Blog 4 - Tired but worh it

I am sitting in a coffee house in Oshkosh Wisconsin trying to keep awake. We have been on the road for a while now and the late nights and long days are catching up to us.

We just got finished with both Creation and Cornerstone Festivals over the past two weeks. Creation was a little rough as we did not have a host home or regular food that week. The girls slept in the tent and the boys slept in the van on a slope each night. We ate a lot of Peanut butter and jelly that week, but it all worth it for the amount of people we get to reach.

Our friend Juan joined us for three weeks of the tour and has been a huge blessing. He has helped a lot with the driving and his years of festival experience.

After a busy week at Creation we loaded up and did the over night drive to Ohio where we took a 5 hour break before heading to Illinois. A quick stop for a pig roast at Mamma Linda's and we were off to Cornerstone Festival, most every ones favorite.

Cornerstone as always was hot and dusty, but well worth it. We always seem to make the most connections at Cornerstone and have the most fun there also. Several big bands have stopped by the booth and expressed interest in helping promote Stand True and picked up t-shirts to wear on stage. So far this summer we have given shirts to Kutless, Underoath, The Almost, Casting Crowns, Family Force Five, Leeland, Pillar, Fireflight, Ilia and many more. We even gave a shirt to Brandi Cyrus (Hannah Montana's sister).

Along with all of the band contacts we also were able to connect with many other ministries and organizations to work on ways to promote each other and the work we do. Stand True will probably be connecting with Compassion International to help sponsor children in other countries. We believe that taking care of children in need is also pro-life and very important.

We have gone through more literature then ever and have seen God move in mighty ways at the booth. Several women have come to us for prayer and been able to finally accept forgiveness for past abortions.

We are about to get started here at Lifest and would love for you to continue to pray for us and the the work we are doing. Gas prices have been well over $4.00 a gallon in many places, fuel is one of our biggest expenses right now. Pray for God to provide the funding we need to finish the the summer.
